Plant Medicine Workshops

Josie runs a variety of workshops helping you to connect deeper with the plants around you.

Learn how to craft foods & medicines from common plants to nourish your tinana (body), your whanau (family) & your maara (garden).

Wild Weeds Walk & Talk

A short workshop dipping into some of our more common edible & medicinal plants. We spend time walking, chatting & looking at plants. 

We share kai (food) and talk lots about wild crafting with plants.  This is a taster session for those interested in beginning their  journey with plants.

This workshop is held in a variety of locations around the Kaipara region. If you are interested in Josie running a Wild Weeds Walk & Talk in your region, please get in touch.

Cost is by koha/donation.

Plant Medicine Journey

A nourishing 10 week course to bring you into deeper connection with the plants that grow  around us.

Learn how to craft food & medicine to nourish yourself & your whanau. We'll work with a variety of plants, creating a range of medicinal and culinary products. You'll finish the course  with many new skills and a greater understanding of how to connect and work with plants.

This workshop is held in the Kaipara District, between Maungaturoto & Mangawhai.

The next intake for this course starts February 2024. 

Sliding scale: $375-$675 for the 10 week course (you pay what you feel you can afford within this scale).

Courses are limited to 12 places and are highly popular so it is recommend that you book in early to avoid disappointment. The next intake will begin in Feb/March next year.

Your Garden: Weeds Walk

A personalised walk around your whenua to look at what plants are growing there. Josie helps you identify what is growing on your land and in your garden. What can you eat? What plants are good for rongoa and for healing? 

This is usually a 1-2 hour workshop.

Cost: sliding scale $85-$325 (you pay what you feel you can afford within this scale). Mileage costs may also apply.
