Breastfeeding Support

Josie teaches about breastfeeding in her Childbirth Education Classes. She is a qualified Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and is available for on-call/on Zoom breastfeeding support. Josie also offers pop-in breastfeeding support in the Mangawhai area.

Please get in touch to find out more about the various packages available.

"Josie came to help support me with breastfeeding. Having Josie come into my home with her kind, empathetic nature topped off with her inside knowledge of breastfeeding was exactly what I needed. I was crying when she first arrived, anxious and in pain. When she left I was relaxed, reassured and feeling more confident as a mother in my ability to feed my son."  ~ Nat

Nurture Baby Group

Nurture Baby Group is a twice-monthly meet-up for parents and babies.

We come together for breastfeeding guidance, to ask questions, share stories and gain support for nurturing ourselves, our babies and our whanau. It's a great space to have fun, offload your woes (!), meet others and seek support.

When/Where:

Mangawhai: 1st Thursday of each month, Rose Madsen Cottage

Kaiwaka: 3rd Thursday of each month, Archie Bull Hall, (behind the little white church on the hill).

Times:

9.30-12.30

The sessions are free. Please bring a plate of kai to share and a blanket/cushion for you and pepi to sit on.

There is also a Nurture baby Group Facebook page:

"I just wanted to say thank you for your support group, it was such a lifesaver for me, and I got loads out of it." ~ Tam

Couples' Support Sessions

Having a baby can put a strain on any relationship, especially if the birth was tough. I work with you to talk through your birth experience and the challenges of new parenthood and how this might be affecting communication within your relationship. I facilitate the session with sensitivity and allows space for you to reconnect with a deeper respect and understanding for each other.

Sessions usually run 2-3 hours and cost $225

"Hi Josie,

Thank you so much, you’ve been truly amazing. Today was everything I had hoped, I really valued you being there to support us both to talk things through."
